Hook and eye latch

Hand-forged hook and eye latch in the Urnes style. The Urnes style originated in Norway and Scandinavia in the late 11th century, characterized by slender interlacing bands and spiral ornamentation.

Comes with two forged fixing staples for mounting to door or wall.

Available both untreated and surface-treated with beeswax, which gives a darker appearance and some protection against rust. The hook is approximately 20 cm in length.
