Yarn hook

In old Norway, the women of the farm would carry their knitting and yarn ball with them, so they could knit whenever a spare moment presented itself.

If you are a knitting-loving housewife (or husband), or know one, a yarn hook might be just the thing.

You attach it to your waistband and thread the yarn ball through the hook. That way it won’t fall to the floor when you need to move around the house.
